Don't listen to random people on tik tok about their pill experience. You have no idea how well they were taking their pill/using whatever contraception they were using. The vast majority of the time people get pregnant on the pill is because they misuse it. You know that, and you know you use your pill correctly, so there is literally nothing to worry about

I’ve been taking the pill for 3 years and I’ve never missed a pill and I’m not pregnant. Listen to people like us and not randos on tiktok who probably took it wrong.

If anyone gets pregnant on the pill then they most likely weren’t taking it correctly. don’t listen to people on TikTok.

Tik tok is a platform where people do and say things to get attention and go viral. Its not a platform to get medial or health advice on. Honestly I would advise you (and anyone else finding it hard to trust your bc and/or struggling with anxiety around pregnancy) to delete that app entirely. Dozens of very similar posts have been made here, many other users have been scared by the scaremongering, these stories are either exaggerated or leave out vital information. Even if you don’t actively look for those kind of posts they still show up on your feed. Protect yourself and your mental health and delete the app, it’s not worth the stress and anxiety it can cause.

the pill doesn’t just “stop” working. ppl who get pregnant on the pill often overlook things like diarrhea/vomiting, certain medications, or frequently missed pills. others will straight up lie and claim they take their pill perfectly bc they don’t want to face that they made an error. the pill is very very effective as a stand alone method. many of the girls on here use just the pill and have never gotten pregnant. if you are still worried, either take a break from sex for awhile or use condoms with your pill

People get pregnant because they don’t read their pamphlets and know what counts as a missed pill for their specific brand. It’s amazing how many people don’t read their pamphlets and find out the information. I had a friend who thought she could take the pill at 7am one day and the next day at 9pm (well out of a 12 hour window obviously) and she had no idea that that was incorrect!

Please delete Tik Tok if you’re still insecure and stressed about pregnancy. It’s a massive platform where misinformation is rampant. People are extremely ignorant on there and spreading lies is an easy eway to get attention. Don’t pay it any mind, there is no way for you to get pregnant if you take birth control properly. The person who shared it probably got pregnant due to their own errors. Please listen to the people who help you.

Also I would have an army of kids rn if it was a possibility of being pregnant while on the pill despite the perfect use.

Tiktok is toxic. If a Tiktok makes you doubt the pill then that’s even the more reason to use condoms

Yeah those people who mostly say that “ oh I was on birth control and I still got pregnant” most likely they weren’t taking it right or they weren’t considering any other stuff that can interact with it. That’s why it’s important to learn how it works and anything that can interfere with it.

Same I take the pill and never even had someone ejaculate in me and those videos still make me paranoid. They’re fear mongering!

yeah, bc has a failure rate like anything else but when you do it right, it’s even more effective than condoms! saying “well, someone somewhere has gotten pregnant while taking bc perfectly so i should be worried about trusting my bc” is as silly as worrying that you’ll die in a car crash every time you get in a car!

Don’t rely on tik tok for medical information. If she got pregnant on the pill then she didn’t take it correctly.
