Any tips on keeping myself and my mind busy during the next few months? I am sadly now unemployed but thankfully I do have a job lined up but it doesn’t start until the end of October. It’s been 2 weeks so for and I already feel incredibly bored. I moved to Qatar with my husband and atm it’s way too hot to be outside and have just handed my car rental back (to save some money whilst out of work) and I think not being able to get out and about isn’t helping. I go to the gym in my building and the pool until the heat/humidity kills me off. I feel like I’m starting to struggle mentally, I don’t really have many friends here and of course I’m trying to save money as I won’t be getting paid for a while. These last few days have found myself struggling to get up and do things and feel as though I just want to sit and daydream and feeling a bit down in the dumps. Hoping this is mostly down to my period lol but still would like to find things I can do to keep myself/my mind busy the next few weeks!

Do you have a hobby you can pick up like crafting, sewing, drawing, writing etc that you can do at home? Or perhaps home projects like decorating or cleaning stuff that you didn't have time to do before.

In this situation I would do a TEFL course (teaching English as a foreign language), can be done pretty quickly if you’ve the time, and then teach online for a couple of hours a couple of times a week. Keeps you busy, interacting with others and making money.

Do you like reading books? Maybe find a book you are interested in. It's easy to get sucked into a story and forget about your own reality for a while. Not sure if you are into romance, comedy, sci fi, mystery, etc. you can find something you are interested in possibly. Not sure if there are libraries around for you to join and check out or read on your phone with book apps
