Ik I’ve posted before similar to this pill usage cycle but I’m having so much anxiety I like can’t function. I’m just explaining everything again. I’m sorry Had withdraw bleed started new pack November 30th Took all pills on time within same hr. Dec 5-7 (end of 1st week beginning of second week active) had sex with partner did not use condom pulled out bc time usage varied between 1-3 hrs of normal time. Dec 8th had 1 episode of diarrhea after 2 hrs and 20min of taking pill. Talked to obgyn she said I did not need to take EC and continued pills as normal Dec 10 (middle of 2nd week active) noticed breakthrough then Dec 13th noticed it too (end of 2nd week active pills) Now on 3rd week of actives had sex late late Sunday/monday am pulled out no condom. Been taking pills on time with in hour I’m just freaking out bc I have never gotten breakthrough bleeding and I’ve been cramping especially bad during my 3week active and back pain (pms signs through entire packet) this is all just way abnormal for me. This is where my anxiety is coming from and me thinking I’m at pregnancy risk (even though I took pills correctly). I just really need someone to help me logically think this out because I’m literally going insane. AND YES ILL BE USING CONDOMS FOR NOW ON!!!!!! Side effects of the pill can happen at ANY time while on the pill, even if you’ve been on the pill 10 years and have never experienced them before. Side effects are not a sign or indication that the pill is or isn’t working, they don’t really mean anything.

^^ exactly this. Also, I’m pretty sure you have to have multiple bouts of diarrhoea for it to be ineffective. You’ve been taking your pills correctly so you should be protected :)

@bluerose9 thank you for saying this! I think that’s what’s making me spiral so much. I just haven’t had these side effects so that’s what’s making me think something is wrong
