Did birth control pill help anyone with acne? And if so how long did it take to see full results?

Yes most birth controls especially the combination pill are used to help acne, the first one that my doctor recommended I get on I would still get very bad breakouts until the 8th month. I changed to another combined pill and started seeing results as soon as I started. Its definitely different for every pill. Before I got on this pill I would have bad breakouts literally everyday😳

Which one worked for you? I’m on the sprintic one and I haven’t seen results yet. I’m on month 3.

There’s a couple of brands that are known to help more than others. I was on two different brands that definitely worked for me. Took about 5/6 months to see a difference on the first brand. I then moved to a different pill brand that made me break out really badly, so when I switched again to another pill brand that’s known for helping acne I could see a difference pretty quickly cos my skin hated the other brand haha. Now my skin was never flawless on either of those brands but it definitely helped.

Certain kinds do for me but others actually make it worse. All forms of Loestrin made mine worse, as well as Depo. Back in the day, I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen which I think is called Tri Sprintec now if it even exists, and it kept my skin perfectly clear. I can’t take it anymore because it gives me migraines. I think some of the hormones in certain kinds are more androgenic than others.
