⚠️TW genital health ⚠️ Hey everyone, I have been diagnosed with Vaginismus and I was wondering if anyone has this or knows anything about this condition..I have been experiencing pain during and after sexual intercourse which, now thanks the the therapy is getting better when actually having sex with my partner, but then i still have this stinging burning sensation during the day and when I pee or when i keep the cream on for too long, are these normal symptoms? The burning sensation (pain when sitting too) is around the entrance of the vagina. Thank you ♡♡♡

I don’t think a stinging burning sensation is a common symptom of vaginismus?

Could it be that your vagina might just been “beaten up” because of sex? You said it’s been getting better but if there is still some pain it may still cause tears, it would explain the burning sensation when using the toilet or cream too as it would be an open wound.

Therapist here, I’ve also been diagnosed with vaginismus. I suggest having a talk therapist, an OBGYN, and a pelvic therapist in your corner for this journey. Read the book ‘Come as You Are’.
