i never thought that my therapist retiring would make me so sad. i’ve been seeing her for years. it doesn’t feel like i’m going to therapy when i see her, it genuinely feels like i’m talking to another older, female relative. it sucks but i’m happy for her at the same time.

Aw that’s bittersweet. It can be hard to find a therapist you really connect with. Sounds like she was a great match for you. Hopefully she has a referral who is just as good.

I feel that, mine ended up with Alzheimer’s. Went through 3 and found her. Now I have no motivation to bother with looking for another therapist that I feel comfortable with
