I feel like the combined pill has made me gain so much weight and despite me cutting down portions and exercising I feel like I haven’t been losing weight and I feel like it’s due to the pill. I’ve been thinking of stopping the pill but I don’t like condoms. I was wondering if anyone knows any contraception that won’t make me gain weight ⚠️💊💊💊⚠️⚠️⚠️💊⚠️💊💊⚠️💊💊⚠️💊💊💊💤💤💤💤💤💤💤⚠️💊⏱

The only method proven to have weight gain as a side effect is the depo shot. The pill can cause water retention but it's temporary. Otherwise, the number on the scale doesn't matter. Muscle weighs more than fat. And your body is going to change as you grow older, you're not going to look like a teenager forever. Focus more on how you feel, not how much you weigh.

I mean the only non-hormonal options besides condoms are copper IUD, cervical cap, female condoms and sponge but personally I think the copper iud has the highest pregnancy prevention rate

Please use a trigger warning when talking about weight. The only birth control method proven to cause direct weight gain is the injection/shot. People don’t realise it’s normal to gain weight as you get older. You’re not gonna be your early teenage weight your entire life.
