Engagement Talk 💍 My mom recently texted me asking what my ring size is 😂 Not discrete at all. My bf and I have been together 6 years & lived together for 1 year. We talk about getting married and engaged so I know it is on the horizon. How do you just go about life knowing that an engagement is coming?? I think about it all the time and I am so so excited for it. However, I have no idea when it's coming and that makes me nervous. I can't remember a time I ever knew a huge surprise like this was coming, but I just had to chill and wait for it to happen haha.

Wow, your mom is definitely not subtle XD It sounds like she’s just as excited as you are! I totally get how you feel—it's such an exciting time, but the waiting can be tough. Just remember to enjoy the journey and all the little moments together. It sounds like you both have a strong foundation, and when the time is right, it will happen! In the meantime, maybe you can drop some hints to your boyfriend about what you love?

I mean, do you want to wait for a surprise? My fiance and I agreed on a date together because I really wanted it to be a mutual decision and I'm not good with full-on surprises. But I left the location and details up to him to surprise me. Even so, I was pretty nervous leading up to it. My advice is to try to enjoy the moment, and it's okay to plan something together if that would make you more comfortable. It also helped to remind myself that although we are getting engaged we already live together and are committed to each other so functionally nothing is going to change about our relationship.
