I have always been on microgynon (3years) but I changed GP for uni in wales and they weren’t able to provide me with that so they gave me rivgidon. I took it for 3 months but my body didn’t work well with it so I got told to try a new pill for 3 months Gederal 20/150 pill to help reduce my headaches and also improve my mental state which it has. I’ve only just started the pill (I’ve been on it for 2 weeks now) however, I still get headaches and they seem a lot more migraine like now and I have notice that I have spot bleeding/discharge constantly since on this pill. I’m not sure if it’s only because my body is getting used to the pill or if I should contact a doctor already about the problem. I hope someone can aid me

Microgynon and Rigevidon have the same active ingredients, so assuming you got the same dosage pill (both have a few different dosages) you actually were just given a generic of your usual brand and not a new pill. The only difference is the inactive ingredients (to keep the pill stable for storage and shelf life, ensure it’s broken down in the stomach as intended etc). Gederal 20/150 has the same active ingredients as both of the other brands, just a slightly lower oestrogen dosage. Definitely give your body at least 3 months to fully adjust to this new dose. I would suggest looking into other causes for your migraines, suddenly getting regular headaches and migraines definitely is worth getting checked out
