So I'm freaking out. So got my withdrawal bleed like normal clockwork, then started new pack of pills as normally scheduled. My partner and I had sex on the 6th-8th day of my active pill (last weekend). Between those few days, I was maybe 1-3 hours late on my normal schedule pill-taking time, but I'm on tri-lo-millie, that's a combo pill. Then this Monday, Dec 8th, I took my 2nd pill in week 2 of actives, and about 2 hrs after I took it, I had diarrhea but not watery (sorry tmi). I didn't take another pill because I didn't think I "missed" (also haven't had sex since last weekend), but this week I've been having cramps and intense similar back pain as I felt with my “withdraw bleed/period.” Now, today, Dec 11th, I noticed brown discharge (maybe breakthrough bleeding???), which is SO abnormal for me. I’ve never had that happen and I’ve been in bc +4 years I still have 9 active pills left. I'm so scared I screwed something up, or there’s a chance I’m pregnancy, because I never get brown discharge until right before my placebo withdraw. Any insight??? Besides the possible diarrhea pill, I have not missed a pill in my current pack or last pack, and my partner pulls out 💊⚠️💊💊💊💊⚠️💊💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💊💊💊💊⚠️💊⚠️⚠️⚠️💊💊💊⏱ Brand: Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo

You can experience side effects at any time, even after using it for years. None of what you mentioned is concerning. For Diarrhea the general take is that a pill doesn’t need to be replaced unless it’s 5-6 cups worth of fully liquid stool within 24 hours. It doesn’t go by the same rules as the 3 hour one for throwing up. Since it’s a combined pill you can probably miss one pill anywhere in your pack and be fine. Sounds like side effects to me.

@Yi_eune thank you for this. I really needed to hear it!! So i shouldn’t be worried about pregnancy risk or being unprotected. This is just a side effect terrorizing my mind?

@Sunglasses37 doesn’t sound like pregnancy to me. I do want to advice you to use condoms if you don’t fully trust your pill, as pulling out does nothing
