Need advice on pregnancy anxiety. I’ve been on the combo pill for many years but recently have had a new partner, we don’t use condoms but he pulls out and I am a perfect user with my pill. I still find myself paranoid about pregnancy, using the pill without condoms isn’t new to me, just new with this partner so that may be a reason for my anxiety. I’m aware that I have irrational anxiety about pregnancy since I never miss pill and always take it on time but I can’t help but have this fear. I was wondering if anyone here experiences this or has any advance on managing it

You’re best option at this point after being a perfect user, reassuring yourself, doing your research, pulling out and for birth control not to be unfamiliar to you would be to see a therapist for your anxiety, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that no way in form saying it in a rude way!
Why would you be having worries about this because of your new partner?

Thank you for responding with kindness, I am seeing a therapist but that’s not something I’ve brought up so I think it’s definitely a good idea to bring that up.
And honestly this is probably is gonna sound silly but I think its because I’m assuming he’s more fertile, my last partner’s semen was like literally almost clear and this partners is a lot healthier looking so I assume that’s more potency and it makes me more paranoid

I also struggle with pretty bad pregnancy anxiety. The way I have learned to deal with it is by taking a test every month just so I know I’m not pregnant. Also if this doesn’t work maybe just try using a condom for a while until you feel more comfortable. Me personally I always use a condom because I am simply too anxious. You are a perfect user so you should be more than protected but I completely understand your anxiety.

Also even if he were to have healthier semen it wouldn’t matter because your contraception is preventing you from ovulating. Therefore there is no egg for the semen to fertilize.

@Loverofcats1 hi maybe a silly question but what test do you recommend I wanna take a test every month I’m in the uk but then like I worry about the test being wrong 🤦🏻♀️

There is professional help aimed at pregnancy anxiety in specifics, so I recommend seeking out a therapist to help you further.
Pulling out does nothing, what matters is that you use your pills correctly.

@Draculaurasb if you don’t trust birth control or pregnancy tests then you can get tested at your doctor’s clinic. But if you need to test that often you’re better off just using condoms or abstaining from sex until you’re ready.

@Draculaurasb I like the digital test from clear blue because then I don’t have to read lines but they are kinda pricey for every month's use. But any pregnancy test will work just fine. Honestly if you don’t trust at-home pregnancy tests, go get a blood test at the doctor's office, it’s the most reliable.
