i definitely used to when i first started having sex for the first time but what helped me get over it was anytime i got super anxious and wrongly convinced myself i could be pregnant, i took a pregnancy test. i know this is not cheap at all, i didn’t get anxious regularly so it’s not like i was taking one every week, i think i took three in total across a couple of months and all being (obviously) negative, flipped a switch almost, and now anytime i do get cramps or spotting etc. i know it’s ok amd completely normal side effects of the pill and do not get anxious over it:) , i also made sure i was super informed on my pill and how it worked and made sure i knew all the ways that could stop it from working correctly so that i didn’t have unprotected sex

i am always extremely anxious! i think of so many little things like not storing my pill in the correct temperature, taking it a minute later than my usual time etc. and keep thinking i’ll get pregnant.

Ive been anxious this week (first time ever, ive been 1 year on the pill) but I’m pretty sure its just my mind overreacting. I haven’t missed a pill and should trust that I’m not pregnant as long as i take it on time.

@luaptsae do you usually use condoms? cause i’ve heard of people getting pregnant on birth control so i’m not sure if i should use one or i’m good w just the pill

@sky0923 we haven’t used condoms since I’ve gotten on the pill & we both got tested. If you take your pills correctly and count for anything that might mess up your protection you don’t need condoms you also need to trust your birth control

Nope. I’m not on birth control anymore but I trusted my pill and would always let my ex cum inside of me. As long as you take your pills correctly you have nothing to worry about. Until then I suggest you use condoms to put your mind at ease and learn to trust your pill.

No. I’ve always trusted my pill and accounted for any sickness etc so I know I’m taking it correctly so I have no need to worry. Don’t use condoms with my bf because I’m on the pill. If anything I’ve trusted my pill more than condoms 😅 (ive had them break)

I have cheap pregnancy tests in the cupboard for my own piece of mind, i bought them ages ago for when i first began taking the pill. I was on bc for a year and a half with no problems or scares. And when i restarted taking it i let my boyfriend cum inside me on day 9 of taking the pill, and multiple times since. He has never been with someone who uses the pill. I reassured him it is literally safer than using condoms with no other form of birth control (what he had used previously). He did his own research too, so he understands how it works, and why i’d get side effects like cramping and sore breasts and why they are NOT related to pregnancy. I trust the pill more than i’d trust using condoms or any other method. If we had doubts, we’d use condoms or have him pull out as an extra measure. But that isn’t necessary if you are taking it correctly:)

When I first started (I was 18ish) I was a little concerned but I did my research and I asked my doctor a lot of questions. Speaking to my doctor helped a lot and put me at ease. After that I trusted my pill 100%.

I was really anxious about pregnancy when I first started the pill. I used condoms and took the pill absolutely perfectly but somehow I was convinced that if it weren't for the condoms I would be pregnant and that the pill wasn't doing anything. Eventually I just "ripped off the bandaid" and stopped using condoms, I was extremely anxious for the first few months but it very quickly became evident that the pill actually works!! Shocker! Now I'm not anxious about it at all. They wouldn't prescribe the pill to so many people if it didn't work.
