Yes! Absolutely. As long as you’ve been taking your pills correctly :)

The only reason Im worried is because my last period was off and I didnt take my all my sugar pills. I know they say it doesn’t matter to take them but I feel that messed something up… and then I had unprotected sex and today I threw up randomly and now Im worried im pregnant but I could also be overthinking cause besides missing my sugar pills Ive been taking my pills pretty decently

You can shorten your break week at any time. If you’ve been taking your active pills correctly, you’re protected. You don’t need to take sugar pills they just help keep you on a regimen. You also don’t get a period on the pill, it’s withdrawal or breakthrough bleeding. During withdrawal bleed is when you take your “sugar pills” or break week. The breakthrough bleed occurs during your active pill days. Either bleed is normal. Bleeding or lack thereof is no indication of pregnancy.

As I said bleeding isn’t an indication of pregnancy. And as long as you didn’t throw up within 2 hours of taking the pill, you’re protected. You could have food poisoning or it could be a placebo effect.
