Hey everyone! I have been prescribed Zelleta (POP) and have been putting off starting it. I am now on day 3 of my period, can I still take it? I was told to start it on the first day of my period, but the patient leaflet says: “Wait for your period to begin. On the first day of your period take the first Zelleta 75 micrograms Tablets. Additional contraceptive precautions are not necessary. If you take your first tablet on days 2 to 5 of your period use an additional barrier method of contraception for the first 7 days of tablet-taking”. Should I just wait until my next cycle or go for it? Im so nervous to start it 🥹 Thanks :)

it’s completely up to you, if you’re nervous to start it you could always start it next period and read up on it until then so you fully know what you’re taking and how it works?

you mean 11pm the next day instead of 9pm? yes that’s only two hours into your timeframe so that’s fine

@onthepillxo thats pretty good! I just reallt struggled as periods are super heavy and painful and i get awful pms symptoms. I have tried a few combined pills and they just dont suit me. Do you get a monthly bleed now or is it random?

Sep 16
10:42
i had a monthly bleed for 3 days for about 3-4 months and then now it’s random. it *should* cause you to get lighter periods or stop them completely but honestly it’s different for everyone

The combined pill REALLY did help me period wise, but not so much mentally so hopefully this one will be better overall. I dont mind irregular bleeding as long as its very light!

I tried cerazette for a month then stopped because I had this really weird reaction? Might have not been the pill, but I felt really hot but cold at the same time suddenly and really panicky? Maybe it was a hot flush but it was very uncomfortable.
