Hi! I had unprotected sex on the 18th, and was not able to take my pills at the normal time of 9pm and had to take it on the 19th the next day at around 4pm. I also did take the pill again as normal at 9pm on this same day. I was wondering if in that case I am still protected. The issue is that at the beginning of this pack, I had some breakthrough bleeding (never happened before and i’ve been on the consistently pill for a year) due to me forgetting to take some/ being late. However, since I noticed this I have been hacking them consistently everyday and on time for the past 7days 100% (could also be around 10days but I’m certain it’s been for atleast 7). Will this affect my protection? Also, there was no ejaculation inside of me, only potential pre-cum. I’m worried that could be a risk. Thank you! Also, i am on the combined pill, microgynon 30. Another query, I have three days left in this pack and typically take a break week but sometimes i do skip it too. would it better better to just start a new pack straight away regarding all of the above?

Did you follow your pill’s pamphlet’s instructions on missed pills?

@bluerose9 yes, i did by taking the missed one and then continuing as normal. i also just checked and it suggests to skip the break if under 7days, which i will do as i had my pill overdue 20hours. is there a high potential i could be at risk of pregnancy?

@bambi2222 as long as you followed the pamphlets instructions and it doesn’t say you need back up protection you are completely fine and good to go :)
