TW: laparoscopy. hey ladies i’m 34 years old and never taken the pill before now. i’m in my second month and halfway through my second dose of active pills (drovelis). i have had bleeding on the heavier side for the last few days can this still be considered as breakthrough bleeding? i had surgery in april to remove one of my fallopian tubes and last week at the gyno she said everything looks normal but ofc i am paranoid and as i have never experienced breakthrough bleeding before i really dont know how much bleeding is normal.

Breakthrough bleeding is any bleeding while taking active pills, it can be anything from very light spotting to extremely heavy. If you’re concerned you’re best to talk to your doctor but if she said you’re okay only last week I’d say you’re good.
