Anyone who knows about skin care please help! I got a professional chemical peel 3 days ago. I usually alternate Vitamin C and Niacinamide in the morning and I wear retinol at night. My question is: when is it safe to resume my routine? My skin is super sensitive and it’s started to peel slightly (it’s not read or anything, just looks a little flaky) I just don’t know if the products I use could irritate me. I’ve googled it and there are very different opinions on the matter so I don’t know what to do

What did the professional who did your chemical peel suggest? I am not a dermatologist, but I would suggest sticking with a gentle moisturizer or lotion on your face (fragrance-free to prevent further irritation) apply throughout the day until you feel your skin has stopped peeling and isn’t sensitive anymore. Also be sure to wear sunscreen if it’s sunny where you live. Drink lots of water too, that may help with the hydration! Maybe slowly re-introduce your skin care routine instead of suddenly going back in with all your products at once as your skin may be overwhelmed by that. So maybe start with just your cleanser and moisturizer, then following days bring your retinols and serums back in.

She said to wait three days so I should be fine today but since I haven’t been wearing any products other than sunscreen I may just do what you’re suggesting and start slowly to see how my skin reacts
