What pill are you on? The mini pill does not allow for break weeks. The pill can be used as a stand-alone method for preventing pregnancy as long it is taken correctly (within usage window, accounting for things like diarrhoea, vomiting, medications etc that may affect the pill). It will not protect you against STIs, for that you should be using condoms. I personally haven't used condoms in over 3 yrs and let my partner cum inside me all the time without any pregnancy scares.

If you use your pills according to your instructions you’re always protected, just make sure you are properly educated on what might cause you to become unprotected. Birth control is viable as a standalone method when used correctly.

Pregnancy wise it’s not unprotected as the pill is your protection x

As long as you take your pill as indicated in your pamphlet and account for any absorption inhibitors (vomiting within 3-4 hours of taking the pill, severe diarrhea, certain medications, etc) you are protected from pregnancy. I had never heard of a mini pill with a break week before, I’m not sure if it’s a newer pill? The hormone in it (drospirenone) is not the same as the one used in other mini pills I’ve heard of (norethindrone for 3 hour mini pills or desogestrel for 12 hour mini pills). Most mini pills do not have a break week at all. I’d definitely make sure to follow the instructions in your pill pamphlet, rather than relying on general rules from the app (most of the general “rules” we discuss on the forum are geared towards combined pills or norethindrone and desogestrel mini pills). Your pamphlet is available here 😊: {bK8MxGNG7}
