TW: anxiety and stress mention, health concern Hello everyone! I recently went through an extremely stressful situation a couple weeks ago. After a couple of days of being filled with anxiety and stress, I got my period, even though I had it just 2 weeks prior. It’s now been approximately two weeks since I’ve been on my period. I am on the pill, so I’m not sure if getting my period is related to my stress/anxiety. I know this is considered breakthrough bleeding, but I’m just curious if this is something concerning? I was speaking to my mom about it, and she thinks I should see a doctor but I’m not too sure. Timeline: *May 27-June 1: period during placebo week *June 6: Significantly stressful event (it was so stressful that I had several anxiety/panic attacks and needed to speak with counselors. Again, I’m not sure if the breakthrough bleeding is related, so I’m just mentioning it just in case) *June 8-Present: breakthrough bleeding

Stress can influence bleeds, even while using birth control. Breakthrough bleeding can last for however long it may. Swap birth control after 6 weeks of constant bleeding

I think seeing a doctor will just help ease of mind. I hope you are able to rest and feel less stress and anxious soon.
