I’ve been taking Freya 28 consistently at the same time every day (never missed a pill). On the 7th day of starting the pack, about 2–3 hours after I took the pill, my boyfriend and I had sex and he ejaculated inside me. Today is my 13th active pill. I haven’t missed any pills at all and I take them around 7 PM daily. I’m just wondering is there still a risk of pregnancy from that 7th day? Or was I considered protected by then?

What does your pill’s pamphlet say? Did you start the pill while on the first 5 days of a natural period?

@bluerose9 I was two days late of my period, been negative since with the pregnancy tests though

@bluerose9 the app said I was protected so I assumed I was but now I am scared. I have taken my pills at the same time consecutively still after this occurrence

What does your pamphlet say? Always follow your pill’s pamphlet, not the app! You should be fine but some pills specify that you are protected after 7 pills, and others say you are protected after 7 days, ie protected on the 8th day of pill taking. It’s debatable whether that difference means anything though

@bluerose9 thanks for your reply! I just messaged my nurse practitioner about it, just waiting for a reply. Hoping it’ll just be a small risk

@bluerose9 my pamphlet says I’m only protected after the 7th day, it sure is debatable I have asked other people about it and they say you’re already protected after taking 7 active pills. I’ll maybe just take a pregnancy test after 14 days just to be sure

@Girl_with_a tbh you should be fine but take a test 21 days after sex to be sure.
