so i woke up this morning and i was heavily bleeding brown. i’m super confused because my period ended 2 weeks ago and i know when you first start taking birth control that can happen but i started taking birth control over a year ago. i always know when i’m going to get my period and i’ve never gotten two within one month. anyone have any advice?

you can get side effects at any time no matter how long you’ve been on birth control. breakthrough bleeding is normal, and you don’t have a period on birth control because you don’t ovulate

It’s break through bleeding. Brown bleeding is just old oxidized blood completely normal. I was on my brand for over 2 years never experienced break through bleeding then out of nowhere started experiencing break through bleeding. You can always experience any side effects of the pill at anytime for any length of time no matter how long you have been on your brand even though you’ve never experienced the side effect before.
