I share an office with another woman and a lot of the time she is taking personal phone calls for hours at a time, I don’t really care that she’s doing it on work time but what is annoying is having to listen to it constantly. Sometimes I just like to work in silence. I feel like I want to tell her to stop it but I don’t even know if I’d be in my right to or how to approach it. I’m always conscious of sharing in office so I have my phone on silent and if I do have downtime and watch tiktok lol I put AirPods in so she doesn’t have to her it. Yet her phone is constantly on loud and will play videos etc out loud as well as her phone calls. I just feel like surely it’s nice to be considerate of others around you

I would talk to her about how the volume of her watching things and phone calls are distrusting your work. She might not be aware. My boyfriend has his volume really loud and he doesn’t even realise most of the time. If things don’t improve after you’ve talked to her you could bring it up with your manager

That's so inconsiderate lol my office mate and I always use headphones. I would just politely ask her if she can use headphones when taking calls or watching things because you need quiet to focus. That is completely reasonable.
