Question: I am going to switch from the mini pill- Jencycla to the combo pill- lo loestrin. The pamphlet says take the combo pill right away instead of the mini pill. It does not say to use a back up method. But when I do a google search, some are saying to use other protection for 7 days. Which is correct? I am confused. Thanks!

Follow the pamphlet. It has to provide correct and accurate information for legal and regulatory reasons.

You should use a backup method for a week. The mini pill does not provide coverage while you are building up protection with he combined pill.

use protection until your protected- as soon as you stop taking the mini pill you become unprotected so will need to wait for the combined pill to work which takes 7 full days which is 8 pills
