Ovulation is the process in a woman's menstrual cycle when an egg is released from the ovary. Some women may feel a slight twinge or cramping sensation on one side of their lower abdomen during ovulation. Other signs of ovulation can include changes in cervical mucus, a slight increase in basal body temperature, and heightened libido. It's important to note that not all women experience physical symptoms of ovulation. If someone is trying to conceive, tracking ovulation can help determine the most fertile days of their cycle

If your not using any form of contraception and you’ve never given birth you will not experience ovulation pain. However if you have endometriosis you will have the pain & it feels worse mid-cycle post pregnancy.
