ok so my birth control pill is out of stock EVERYWHERE. i take Marvelon and i’ve been to 8 different pharmacies and they’ve all ran out of stock. im supposed to start a new pack tomorrow. im on the 2nd day of my period now and the last time i had sex was 6 days ago. what do i do? should i be worried?

is it safe to switch to another pill even though theyre different dosages/compounds?

@serendipity1 you need to find one with the exact same dosage and ingredients in order to stay protected. And yes, you need to avoid a gap between your break week and a new pack. If not, you will no longer be protected, and any sex in the last 7 days will be unprotected.

Why don’t you stock up on your new pills 1-2 weeks early
