Okay totally TMI so I’m sorry.. I’ve noticed recently. I’d say like at least the last month. While I’m at work (mostly) and I crouch down I can… smell.. myself? Each time I go to the bathroom, my underwear is slightly dampened and I have white / clear discharge however it always smells.. I wouldn’t say like CRAZY BAD but definitely enough to notice, and obviously while I’m working (13 hours in thick cargo pants) I have definitely noticed ‘myself’ towards the latter part of the day. I shower everyday. I keep clean bush where I can. The only thing that I can think I have changed is I got the kylena coil in December where as I’d previously been on the depo for 4 years. And the kylena is waaaay less hormones. Could it be a hormone change thing? I’m really stressing about it because what if other people can smell that? I mean I’ve only smelt it when I’ve been like crouched down and head pretty close to my own crotch.. but seriously I don’t know what to do. Anything is appreciated :/

this could be related to hormones like you said since you said you recently changed to the kylena coil - it could be due to a hormonal imbalance or it could also be caused by if you are or have been sexually active recently

@averna I’ve been with my bf for 3 years so I’m fairly sexually active in general - it must be down to the hormones. Do you know if there’s anything I can do?🥺

@Xoxoxaaa you may just have to let your body adjust, our bodies are always growing and changing so this will definitely go away soon - you could try keeping an eye on your diet and drink plenty of water! also this might be a bit gross but your partner not properly cleaning his private area could also contribute to an odor then coming from you so it’s worth also paying attention to that

@averna thank you! Hopefully my body will adjust by summer.. that’s what I’m scared about most 🤣 & yes I will mention that too. He showers everyday and is normally fairly hygienic but you never know. Thank you

Your vagina has a natural odour, and that’s something you may have to come to terms with. It’s probably a combination of discharge and sweat. Discharge is normal and birth control can increase it, but I can guarantee you that others don’t smell you. I don’t think you have to worry about any infections unless your discharge has a cottage cheese like texture or yellow to green colour.

This is normal, like how you can sometimes smell your armpits at the end of a busy sweaty day. Totally normal to be a little sweaty and smelly after 13 hours running around, that’s a long day 😅
