i’m on my week break rn and i come back on my pill on monday, my periods before the pill were TERRIBLE like i couldn’t go to work or school from excruciating pain and diarrhoea (tmi) but when i got on the pill it was a complete breeze i literally just ‘bled’ a tiny bit and that’s it (no other symptoms) but this week break my ‘period’ feels like it used to be and idk why or how to ease the pain (i’ve never been able to ease pain hence why i went on the pill)

The mini pill doesn’t have a break week, so it was out of the question. At the end of the day these are possible side effects/withdrawal symptoms that can be experienced during your break week, your bleed won’t be the same every single time. If it keeps happening for multiple months you can consider changing pills, or methods entirely.

Regarding pain relief, try taking ibuprofen instead of paracetamol. (I think it's called advil or midol in USA? Not sure where you're from). Hot water bottle or a nice hot shower/bath might help relax the muscles. As well as calming peppermint tea etc! I know it sounds weird, but masturbating and having an orgasm can help too! Some research shows that there are things such as having too much caffeine or alcohol often can worsen the pain, but I'm not sure how true that is.

If your periods continue to be painful you can try skipping your breaks
