Hi guys, new here! I started my period 2 days ago (Tuesday) and started taking Microlite pill today, just wondering am I protected against pregnancy straight away or does it take 7 days for me to be protected? Pamphlet says use other protection for 7 days but information online says it’s safe straight away so long as you start taking the pill within 5 days of starting your period? Brand: Microlite

I mean it doesn’t hurt to say the 7 days if you aren’t sure especially if you just started your period you probably won’t be having sex during then and if you are then just use a condom until you’re protected
