Is anyone here on the arm implant? If so, how is the experience ? I made an appointment to switch my birth control from the pills to the arm implant, and I’m low key nervous. I never tried any other bc method so this will be my first time. The only reason why I’m changing it is because I get nervous so easily about having to make sure I don’t throw up or forgetting to take the pill so yeah 😅

I was on the implant but I personally had a lot of issues from it. So I switched to the pill I especially had issues with my period. It came twice a month, was a lot heavier and extremely painful. I constantly felt sick too. But again this was just my experience I know people who have no issues and absolutely love it. Your arm will hurt really bad for a week or so after getting it. I would recommend getting it in your non dominant arm.

i was on Nexplanon for like 2 years and honestly i never had any dramatic issues besides bloating. I didnt have my period the whole time I had it in. (i dont know if thats a dramatic issue (to me its not) )When they put the implant in it didnt hurt and i didnt even notice they put it in. Honestly, the implant is a hit or miss and everybody is different. Good Luck!!
