Hi everyone I’ve been dealing with this back pain since March with no injury. I’ve been to the hospital twice—urine sample, X-ray, and ultrasound all came back normal. I’ve been told it can take up to a year to get an MRI (in Ontario canada) I’ve seen my doctor multiple times. She gave me muscle relaxers, which didn’t work, and naproxen, which also doesn’t work. I’ve been doing physiotherapy and chiropractic care (no cracking, just learning stretches), but nothing has helped. The pain is now sharp, shocking, and electric. It shoots up my spine and into my lower back. It hurts to breathe, it hurts to lift my leg, it hurts to stand up, it hurts to sit, and it hurts to lay down. The pain kicks in hard after standing for more than 2 minutes the pain is not manageable at all and I’m doing everything I can with no answers. Everyone seems to think I’m being over dramatic. I work 16 hours every other weekend at a hospital, which I’m thankful for because I physically can’t handle more right now. I spend my shifts constantly crying to myself and lying on the bathroom floor during my breaks. I’ve tried using my pool to get moving and nothing helped. I am mentally drained from this pain. I am only 23 years old and I still have no answers. I just wanted to rant and see if anyone has advice or similar experiences because I’m getting desperate. This pain is making me really depressed and putting me in a bad mindset. The pain is so bad all I think about for 24/7 is the pain. The pain is only getting worse not better. The only thing that somewhat helps is while I’m laying in a hot bath with Epson salt. I’m convinced it’s not a muscle as it’s been almost 5 months and the pain is getting worse. Idk what to do anymore.

Maybe a pinched nerve or a slipped/herniated disk? Just a random thought

@xNymphadora yup that’s what I’m thinking. Just hoping there’s a way to get better without surgery ..

@Liv420 would be worth going back and seeing if you need updated orthotics, maybe that might help?
