I’m having a yeast infection and I will take fluconazole today. I have 10 pills left in the pack before 4 day break week. I found out that fluconazole interacts with the pill (yaz) and I should use a backup method pf contraception for 7 days. The question is: will I be protected the last 2 days of the pill and during my break week or I have to wait the first 7 days of the new pack to be fully protected?

and now i have 3 different types of information: 1. It won’t affect the pill 2. I have to use another metod for 7 days 3. I have to use another metod for 28 days.

Fluconazole doesn't affect birth control.
