Hi so I get my birth control free is this normal ?

So for instance my mates pay but when I go to pick mine up they just hand it to me ? And idk if I’m stealing or what 😂I do have fibroids tho so maybe it’s free for me ?

@Horrorfan18 yes this is normal. I also get mine for free. It also depends on where you get it from. If it’s on prescription from a doctor then you have to pay. If it’s from a clinic like hope house then it’ll be free.

usually birth control is free (i’m in the uk though idk where you are) but you can buy some over the counter like Hana, so maybe that’s what they’re doing?

@Horrorfan18 i wouldn’t worry about it. as if you were to pay they wouldn’t just hand it to you. it can be due to why your taking it. (periods or bc) or your age. I’m the same, i get mine for free but i know people who have to pay.

@onthepillxo yes I’m in the uk when I got my prescription it said to mark why u wasn’t paying at the time I marked bc medical reasons bc I have fibroids but now I’m wondering if that’s a valid reason ?

@Horrorfan18 all prescriptions go through a system, so if the reason isn’t valid you would just have to back date payments. But due to the pills being sexual health related they are free to everyone in the UK.
