Not sure what type of pills you’re taking, but in case you’re taking a combined pill: have you tried skipping your break weeks?

is the combined pill the one with placebo pills?

Usually, yes, but they don’t always come with placebo pills. It’s best to check your pamphlet to know what type of pill you’re on. (It’s also important to know)

You could also talk to your doctor about a semi-permanent method to see if that can help with your bleeds.

@ag18 if you’ve already tried a bunch of pills (keep in mind the adjustment period), then maybe the pill isn’t the contraceptive method for you. It happens x

Are you taking the combined pill? Like Yi_eune said you could try skipping your break weeks if you are. Have you had this heavy bleeding checked out by your doctor? The hormonal iud Mirena and generics are supposedly pretty good at stopping bleeding, but there’s an adjustment phase like all birthcontrol and some people bleed a lot and have very erratic bleeding

i texted my doctor and she said to come by and we’re gonna change the type of pill

That really sucks you’re having a hard time finding one that helps you, hopefully this next one will be the one

yeah i hope i honestly can’t keep changing it so often. i didn’t know it was gonna be this hard haha. i asked her what she thinks of me using the implant that you put in your arm

asking about other options like the implant seems like the right move. it sounds pretty frustrating to have so many pills not work out for you, i’m glad you’re still trying different options and not just giving up :) there are so many options out there, hope you find the right one for you soon!

@ag18 keep in mind the adjustment period is 3-6 months so I’m not sure how quickly you change pills but you should try and hold off switching too quickly to give it a real chance
