TW ⚠️ SA talk Hey everyone. Idk what to do here. At my boyfriend’s work-related Christmas party last night a coworker of my boyfriend, who I do not work with, behaved inappropriately toward me after drinking. I had hung with her before and when sober she is professional and nice but previously I have seen when she drinks she has this switch. She does not always know her limit when drinking. She asked personal questions about my sexuality, made repeated sexual comments, and touched me in a sexual manner without my consent between my legs with her thumb as she told me she wish I was lesbian and how unfortunate it was (she is engaged with a male who was not present) I did not encourage or consent to any part of this interaction. This coworker is engaged, and I have no professional relationship with her beyond being my boyfriend’s partner at the event. My boyfriend has to travel with her next month for two weeks for a work site and because of this incident, I am uncomfortable with my boyfriend traveling or attending extended site visits with her. I am requesting separation in work assignments. When I told him about this at the Xmas party last night I pulled him aside had a panic attack and told him I need to go home. He saw how much distress I was in and asked me what happened I told him what happened and I have never in my life seen him this angry. We had to leave before he was going to get to angry at her. Her told me he was going to deal with it and call his manager today. I don’t know what to do or feel. This has brought up a lot of trauma for me and the fact that there were no cameras and no one heard (as she whispered) and no one saw (she was under the table and there were no cameras). I am very distraught right now and don’t believe I’ll ever be the same person again. I really don’t know what to do rn.

I’m so sorry that happened to you, she went way out of line and I hope the manager will take this matter seriously. If they don’t the I would step towards a HR representative. Her behaviour should not go unpunished and it was absolutely disgusting how she treated you. Please do not be afraid to reach out to professionals
