Does anyone on the mini pill sometimes question if its actually working? I seem to have this issue ever since being on the mini pill since it has such a strict time frame and I heard it doesn’t prevent ovulation. Would there be a way to know you are pregnant?

Which mini pill are you on? The desogestrel mini pill suppresses ovulation fully and the norethindrone mini pill suppresses ovulation for about 50% of users, however is still equally as effective for users who ovulate as for those who don’t. As the side effects of the pill are very similar/the same as pregnancy symptoms, a positive pregnancy test is the only way to know for sure. If you’re using the pill correctly it’s working.

It doesn’t matter whether you still ovulate or not, that doesn’t make it any less effective. The minipill thickens cervical mucus and thins the lining of the uterus. This prevents sperm from reaching the egg. I’m not sure if you’ve read up on what you’re taking but I recommend doing so
