(UK) I’ve just moved out of my accommodation in Staffordshire and I’m staying with my boyfriend temporarily who lives outside of Liverpool, I’m about 2 and a half weeks away from my last Destrogel pack and I was wondering how can I get a refill if I’m not in Staffordshire, would I have to travel back to get a refill?

You can get desogestrel pill packs at Boots pharmacies now for free, I just walked in and did it but it’s probably better to do online {1T53WtCdi} You could also change your nominated pharmacy to one close to you & call your GP to issue a new prescription to them, as it’s desogestrel its unlikely you'll need in-person appointments for it anyway

You can have your doctor call in the refill to a pharmacy near you

@aurielle for some reason my GP never refills my prescription, they stopped doing it last year so I’ve been doing it through my local pharmacy, which is why I was worried that other pharmacies wouldn’t.

Does your GP want you to have an appointment for a refill? That’s odd they won’t issue it. Yes they do. I think I only got 1 or 3 months as I’d only left my other pills at home in another city, but I think I remember them saying I could get more (especially after the first time).

@Awg1 the GP never mentioned wanting me to do anything, it was the pharmacy that told me GPs don’t deal with that anymore because of the pharmacy being able to give it 😕
