Hii guys!! Was just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on a guy’s previous relationship? I’ve started talking to this guy (friend of a friend) for about a month and he’s been super sweet and nice so far, but my friend told me that his last relationship, that ended in early January, kind of ended on some red flags. As in both of them were seeing other people (without them having agreed on an open relationship) before they eventually broke up. I know that I can’t really judge since I don’t know the full story and I’m also pretty new to the dating scene so that’s why I’m curious what your takes are on this xx

I really don’t care much about a guys previous relationship, unless it had anything with cheating then I stay away!

Everyone has a past and it doesn’t necessarily define them. However: would be concerned about the “seeing other people”, it’s vague. Especially with both doing it? Your friend wasn’t involved so I doubt they would know enough details. Talk to the guy.

Once you get a bit deeper into dating, I think asking "how/why did your last relationship end" is a valid and illuminating question that can teach you a lot about a person and if you should pursue a relationship with them.

From what you’ve said that specific situation sounds like it was caused by a lack of communication, from both sides. I don’t think that’s a red flag or a warning sign, unless you feel like he is not communicating with you.
