Hello, I recently went on my break week for my pills. I didn’t get my period though, it’s been 7 days and I took a pregnancy test and it said negative. I did have unprotected sex within 3-4 weeks ago, I log my period and pills on my apple health app, so I checked Flo since it’s synced and it showed during my ovulation period. Just wondering for second opinions, I’m definitely re-testing of course but like how soon should I? Please don’t judge me and save the criticism about protection . I made my choices and I will deal with them. I want to come to a safe space for more opinions as I already been stressed out myself. 🫶🏼thank you

What kind of pill are you on? If you take a combined pill you don’t ovulate at all. If you take the mini pill only certain kinds you ovulate on. Either way if you took your pills on time it’s highly highly unlikely you’d be pregnant, and sometimes the pill just thins your uterine lining so much that you don’t bleed at all during a break week

@Monkeybutt63 I take a combined pill, and I did move my time up by a hour but I was taking it on time on time and consistently.

You may or may not bleed during the break week. Missed bleeds are a perfectly normal side effect of the pill. What’s important is that you use the pill correctly, side effects like bleeding/missed bleeds don’t really mean anything and are not an indication that your pill is or isn’t working correctly. So as long as you use your pill correctly (this includes accounting for illness or medication that may reduce the pill’s effectiveness) it doesn’t matter if you bleed or not. Just an FYI just in case you’re not aware, but as you are on a synthetic cycle on the pill you do not ovulate or anything and any bleeding is not a real natural period (just a side effect of the pill) so the information you’re getting on Flo or any similar app is not accurate or correct at all.
