I took a longer break on the pill (I didn’t have my next pack with me) and started to take it on my 17th day of my cycle. As it was probably after I ovulated, do you think I should be prepared to get my period on my 28th day, or could the pills already take effect and delay it until the end of the pack? (does this at all make sense?)

There's no way of predicting how or when you will bleed because your body is adjusting to the changes in hormones of being off for extended period and on again. Any sex during the 'break' until you took your 8th pill would have been unprotected.

There’s no way to predict bleeding, taking your pill irregularly is likely to lead to heightened side effects like bleeding.

@madeline_ always be prepared, you can experience side effects at any time on birth control even if you’re using it perfectly 🥲
