I’m about to take some antibiotics that might affect my birth control. Does the advice of use backup protection during the course of medication and 7 days after count no matter where you are in the cycle? I’m about to take it on my withdrawal bleed and wanted to make sure that I’m fully protected before resuming as normal

The only antibiotics that actually affect birth control are rifampin and rifabutin.

That shouldn’t affect your pill at all, I’ve had to take that one before and it was all fine
