hi, all! this may be a silly question- i have had my nexplanon implant in since may 6th of last year. it is recommended to keep it in for 3-5 years, but would there be any reason to worry about it losing effectiveness prior to that? i can still feel it in the same location so i know it hasn’t migrated (even though i do have mini panic attacks everytime i hit it on something like a rollercoaster restraint or at the gym). but i just had sex again for the first time in a whiileee and had a little anxiety after (pull-out was used). just was curious!

Nope, all medications like that are thoroughly tested so they know it's effective for at least that long. They could not advertise it as lasting for 3-5 years unless it had been proven in clinical trials
