Has anyone taken the depo shot. I’m on my 3rd different birth control and still haven’t found one yet I like

Just curious, what were your reasons for switching previously? How long did you wait before switching?

My first one caused severe cramping to the point I couldn’t get out of bed (over a year), the 2nd one caused severe depression and mood swings (7 months), and the one I’m on now causes breakthrough bleeding and prolonged periods that last up to 2 weeks (5months)

Just know you can’t just “quit” the depo shot when you want. You’ll need to wait until its fully out of your system. What kinds of birth control have you tried in the past?

Also worth noting, doctors only recommend the depo shot for a max of 2 years.
