I have a copper coil - been in for just over 5 years, never had any issues. Went from mini pill to coil and my periods returned immediately. Usually heavy and painful but manageable. My cycle is like clock work - 30/31 days, usually bleed for 6/7 days. Been like this since a got the coil 5 years ago with no issues. I would normally cramp and have a day or two of spotting around ovulation then nothing until my period comes. My last period was 1st May - technically due to come on tomorrow. However, I started cramping and spotting on the 19th May, a day before my predicted ovulation. Since the 19th I have been constantly bleeding - heavy every day like I’m on my period. Also passing very large clots and having intense cramping. I’m now 2 full weeks bleeding ontop of my actual period at the start of the month. The pain has settled over the last few days but the flow is still ongoing and fairly heavy - been to GP and had bloods done - waiting to hear back. I have felt the coils strings and all feels normal. Anyone experience anything similar or have any advise would be greatly appreciated x
