Hello ladies, I was wondering if you’ll be able to help, I started my pill packet on the 3rd of June, I was told by my pharmacist to start taking it and not wait until my period has started, now I can’t remember having a period in May and I’ve missed my June period due to starting the pill, and now I’m on my week brake and no withdraw bleed. Do you think it’s wise to get a pregnancy test. I’m so ahhh I’m not sure what to do? 💤‼️‼️💊💊‼️💊‼️💊‼️‼️‼️‼️💊💊💊‼️‼️💊‼️‼️⚠️💤💤💤

If you use your pills correctly you’re not pregnant. Did you use condoms for the first week? It’s common not to bleed on the pill, even during the break weeks. You don’t experience an actual period even if you do bleed, so it’s not a definite indicator.

Have you had unprotected sex? You can start bleeding at any time on your withdrawal bleed. As you no longer have real natural periods on the pill, it doesn’t really matter whether you bleed or not (bleeding and missing bleeds are common side effects of the pill). What’s important is that you use the pill correctly. If you’ve used the pill correctly it doesn’t matter if you bleed or not.

@bluerose9 hello I had unprotected sex in May, and in June but I would have been okay in June as I’ve been taking my BC properly and on time. Thank you for outlining that it’s okay not to have a withdrawal bleed is normal so that kind of rests my mind a bit. Thank you for replying

@Pineapplebub if you’ve had unprotected sex you should take a pregnancy test 3 weeks after sex to rule out pregnancy. If you haven’t taken a pregnancy test yet you should. Missing a withdrawal bleed is only okay if you know you’ve used the pill correctly and had protected sex x
