I am on Loloestrin FE, and this is my 6th pack of pills. For the last three packs, day 7 of the package, I start bleeding like a normal period. I bleed for around 5-6 days, and then I stop for about 4 days, then bleed again until the last day of my placebo. I have never missed a pill, and I am always on time. I skipped my placebo week on month 3, but have not done that again and still take them every month. I’m assuming this schedule means the dosage is too low for me? Has anybody had this problem? My only concern is that this pill is ineffective for me for protection purposes, but I’ve read that isn’t how that works.. lol 💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭💊💊💊💊💊💊💊 Brand: Lo Loestrin Fe (LoLo)

I don’t think bleeding means your pill isn’t working, as long as you take it every day even when you are bleeding, and don’t have a break longer than 7 days you’re protected. This amount of breakthrough bleeding does sound like a pain though and if it bothers you you can always go to the dr to change the pill you are on xx

Side effects do not determine whether your medication is working. If you’re bleeding this much it’s probably a good idea to see your doctor and talk about your options. It is unnecessary to bleed this much. You can either try a different pill or method, mind you that you’ll have to go through the adjustment period for these again.

@Yi_eune I will not mind to go through adjustment period as I would just rather find a method that works for me. My breakthrough bleeding is not usually spotting, like it was at the beginning, but is now starting to be heavier/ lighter colored with almost clots in it. Would you say that’s concerning with how much I’m bleeding? (I have an appointment next week w my doctor about changing the pill most likely)

@nicoanstic_ your flow can be anything; spotting, steady or heavy flow. None of it is concerning.
