been prescribed a 5 day course of metronidazole, i know im not supposed to have alcohol whilst taking them and for 48 hours after that, but i drank friday night and not sure how long i have to wait after that in order for the alcohol to be fully flushed out my system, i cant find any information online apart from one person on a random reddit post who’s said 72 hours. anyone have any information?

You're fine alcohol doesn't stay in your body that long unless you drank a ton or something

first time going out in a while so i drank like half a bottle of 20% vodka

Maybe start Monday morning to be safe. But I definitely wouldn’t wait much longer.

i was thinking monday morning would be okay as that would be like 54 hours from my last drink

I would start Monday morning at the latest. It’s used to treat infections so you should not wait around too long with treatment x
