Hi all, I’ve been on the pill for years now but for the first time ever in the middle of my pack (I’m on day 12 of my pack) I am experiencing very heavy bleeding. This is weird to me because I have never experienced breakthrough bleeding, I have never missed a pill, and my periods are normally very light. Should I be worried? Concerned? It is making me nervous.

Breakthrough bleeding is a normal side effect and side effects can happen even after years of use. If you use your pill correctly it’s nothing to worry about.
