I’ve been on the pill for 3 weeks now, I started it the first day of my period that lasted 4 days, I got 6 days no bleeding and now for the past 9 days! I’ve been bleeding non stop and I’m actually getting so fed up bc it’s not heavy enough for tampons but whenever I’ve a pad it gets heavier, I can’t wear the underwear I want and it messes with sex as it can be messy so if it’s caused by the pill I just don’t get the point I’m so fed up of bleeding and wanna know if theirs anyway I can stop it or make it less consistent

You're still in the adjustment phase (3-6months) and it's normal to experience side effects such as irregular bleeding. There's nothing you can do, you will just have to wait it out. If it doesn't get better after a few months you can try to swap to a different pill.

I suggest on getting a menstrual disc. Learn how to put it in and take it out online. Finding your size is the hardest part of it, but it helps so much with making it feel like you aren't bleeding. Other than having to take it out. That's super messy, but it make having sex and wearing cute underwear a lot more easier.

@xNymphadora I’m just hoping eventually it’ll get a bit lighter, it usually calms down a bit around night surprisingly and a little lighter than before so praying it’ll give me a break bc I’m fr exhausted all the time bc of it

@Pizza_girl I’ll definitely look into it bc if I try a tampon it comes out half dry and jeez that hurts and with a pad obviously they’re just super uncomfortable and not very sexy having my bf take off my pants with a bloody pad on it he doesn’t mind that I’m bleeding he isn’t a kinda guy to think it’s gross and he told me it’s ok if I wanna stop it bc it’s making my mood swings crazy too and giving me bad fatigue but I’ll give it a bit longer as being able to not worry every month is better

@Therocketque yeah, you would probably benefit from a disc for sure. That way you can stay on the pill for peace of mind and it helps for you to feel more confident with sexy things. If you have any question, please let me know. I do use one and love it. It's tricky to get it right, but once you do, there is no going back. I still use pads, but I hate tampons. You cannot feel the disc in at all if you have it in right. I know they say that with tampons too, but I always felt tampons regardless and they came out dry for me even if I had the smallest absorbency and waiting for hours. Discs can be kept in for 12 hours if you can go that long without leaking. Some discs hold a couple tampons worth, so no need to empty it as much as changing a tampon. I suggest checking out the website Period Nirvana. Kim does excellent YouTube videos to show you how it works and how to use it. Also there is a chart showing the different sizes and different softness. I am not sure where you live, but in the US, there is disposable discs called Flex where you can just throw it away when done. They have reusable made of silicone and all reusable is silicone, but the disposable is good to try if you just want to judge the size and firmness. I like to go on this topic a lot because it really is a game changer. Hope this helps!!

@Pizza_girl you’ve got me convinced I’m gonna go look up some now hopefully not to expensive as fingers crossed my bf can pay as I’ve only £92 which I’m using for a weekend away for his birthday so I have got a couple wee outfits to surprise him with and Ik having a tampon string showing through isn’t what I plan as a sexy birthday weekend 😂 so ty so so much I’m just praying the bleeding will calm down a bit after my next period like last time

@Therocketque hopefully the bleeding will let up so you can wear your outfits. Seems like you are in another country than I am so you may have a harder time or slimmer picks on finding a menstrual disc.
