Hey☺️ sorry to ask this I have already read my pamphlet and looked it up but just want to be extra sure!! I’m on the combined pill Rigevidon and I’m just asking this as the 24 hour rule confuses me in terms of whether it’s 24hrs from when you should have taken it or from when you actually last took one. I have a reminder to take my combined pill at 7pm every evening - but sometimes it’s a few hours later than that. Idk what happened last night but I totally forgot to take it Saturday night - it’s now 11.45am on Sunday morning. If I take it now and then carry on as normal with another one this evening I okay or do I need to use extra protection? I’ve always been so good at taking the pill I’ve no idea how I forgot this time😣 Thank you x

If you’re due to take your pill at 7pm on Sunday, Sunday’s pill isn’t counted as missed until you haven’t taken it by 7pm Monday evening, when Monday’s pill is due.

@bluerose9 thank you so much. If I take the one I missed now and then carry on as normal do I need to use extra protection for 7 days as well or am I okay? I followed the I missed a pill section on this app and it told me to use condoms and skip my next break week as I have less than 7 active pills left until the break. But was finding different online so not sure

@Girlygirl15 there is no need for extra protection because you took your pill in your usage window. Take your Saturday one now and then your Sunday one when you usually do. This might mean having to take 2 pills in a singular day. Continue your pill as normal after.

@yi_eune thanks so much! Yeah I knew the pamphlets were outdated but wasn’t too sure about the rest. I’m meant to finish this pack on Thursday coming, so does that mean I’m okay to take my break as normal then if it’s within the 24 hours or would I be better skipping? I’m so sorry to be a pain I just get very anxious around the pill and my protection - I’m in the process of changing birth control methods because of this though☺️

@Girlygirl15 you’re overthinking this too much. Taking your pill in its usage window classifies as perfect use. Continue as normal means exactly that, continue as normal xx
