I was prescribed Slynd by my doctor. I was going to start it today, but I just looked at the pamphlet and it says that Day 1 Start has to be used. My first postpartum period started yesterday or the day before (but it was mostly just spotting for most of that) - can I still start it today? How long should I use backup protection since it’s not technically Day 1 start? Brand: Slynd

You don’t technically have to start on the first day of your period it’s just if you start on your period you’re protected right away

But also if you start at any other time it only takes the day of your 3rd pill to be protected

Im on slynd too. You can start it at anytime it doesn’t matter when your period began. I would still use protection at least 7 days after using the pill, just for safety precautions if your that worried about it.
